My First Blog!
Well, here it goes. I have never blogged before but a bunch of my friends do so I thought I would give it a shot.
It is strange how, in a short time, so much can occur that you feel as if you are moving at light speed. Alissa and I have been married for almost 6 years and our two girls are getting huge. Camryn is going to be 4 in November and Jolie is close to 2 and a half. I am always amazed at how intelligent and beautiful both my girls are. We have to be careful with Camryn because she now knows how to use a computer and can literally surf the internet. Once she learns how to read I am going to be in real trouble.
I still work for Sundt Construction here in the Phoenix area. It has been a tough year for my company (but not as tough as it has been for most every other construction company). I love my job and enjoy working with very intelligent people. I am an estimator which means I determine the cost of work for the projects I am assigned to. I spend a lot of time on the phone and have met some great friends through industry networking. I estimate some very cool and very intricate projects such as water and waste water treatment plants, power plants (both traditional coal fired and solar) and have been involved in the bidding process on a few mines. I feel like I learn something new every day that I go to work but sometimes I wish I could spend more time with my girls.
I am involved with the youth in my church right now. For those of you who don't know, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am the first counselor in the Young Men's Presidency in my ward of about 700 people. we have about 20 young men aging from 12 to 17 and I am principally involved with the young men who are 14 to 15 years old. We just got back this week from doing a long hike in the white mountains here in Arizona which was absolutely beautiful. For those of you who think that Arizona is nothing but desert I say come visit the white mountains and see some of the most beautiful, pristine pine forest in the country. I was blown away by the amount of elk we saw; there must have been at least 400 head grazing in the meadows over the 5 days we were there. I love my calling and am very proud of the boys I am privilaged to work with.
Well, I am going to cut it off there, I am sure I will be blogging about some other stuff but thought I would start with an update on the Bradford household.
